ABU GHRAIB, Iraq: A Soldier from the 1st Mechanized Battalion, 1st Brigade, 9th Iraqi Army Division (Mechanized) proudly wears his unit shoulder patch on patrol in Abu Ghraib, west of Baghdad. The battalion is working side by side with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division in Operation Commando Brickyard to kill or capture insurgents in the city of 80,000 residents.
