Senior Airman Tyler Maxwell, 30th Civil Engineer Squadron electrician, climbs a power pole during a pole-top rescue training Aug. 23, 2019, at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. While working pole-top, there are many risks service members could encounter such as electrocution and burns, making it imperative that proper rescue procedures are in place. For Airmen assigned to the 30th CES electrical shop, pole-top rescue is an annual training requirement and is incorporated into their weekly training time. (U.S. Air Force photo by Hanah Abercrombie)
