Gen. Robert B. Brown, U.S. Army Pacific commanding general and Gen. Apirat Kongsompong, Royal Thai Army commander-in-chief, salute during a honor ceremony and Stryker handover ceremony, Sept. 12, 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand.
During the ceremony, U.S. Army Strykers were transferred to the Royal Thai Army. The RTA is the first non-U.S. military to be equipped with the
combat-proven vehicle.
The Royal Thai Army Stryker represents the commitment between the United States and Thailand to modernize the Royal Thai Army, and further supports the U.S.-Thailand alliance’s goal towards a free and open Indo-Pacific.
