Gen. Robert B. Brown (Left), U.S. Army Pacific commanding general, shakes hands with Gen. Apirat Kongsompong, Royal Thai Army commander-in-chief, during a Stryker handover ceremony, Sept. 12, 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand.
During the ceremony, U.S. Army Strykers were transferred to the Royal Thai Army. The RTA is the first non-U.S. military to be equipped with the combat-proven vehicle.
The Royal Thai Army Stryker represents the commitment between the United States and Thailand to modernize the Royal Thai Army, and further supports the U.S.-Thailand alliance’s goal towards a free and open Indo-Pacific.
