Sgt. John Lowery, a fire support specialist with Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 4th Battalion, 27th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas, explains the process of conducting an artillery fire mission, May 2, to attendees of a 4-27 FA family day held at Dona Ana Range, N.M. The soldiers of 4-27 FA are at Dona Ana Range to take part in the Network Integration Evaluation 12.2 capability assessment, being conducted in the Fort Bliss area by 2nd HBCT, but the unit always takes time in the field to host a family day to help those who support the unit feel appreciated for their hard work.
