(September 12, 2019) Seaman Tyvon Brown and Seaman Austin Gosciak from Amphibious Construction Battalion One loosen bolts on a hose in preparation to connect it to a beach termination unit for Offshore Petroleum Discharge System operations for the Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise (AECE). Approximately 3,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel participate in AECE 2019, a joint training exercise that tests expeditionary logistical capabilities in the Arctic and Southern California regions and prepares joint forces to respond to crises across the Indo-Pacific.
