SAN DIEGO - Capt. Devin J. Morrison, Naval Medical Center San Diego’s (NMCSD) executive officer, speaks with Sailors and civilian staff members in the hospital’s auditorium for a town hall-style meeting to discuss the hospital’s future transition to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Sept. 16. The transition of military treatment facilities to fall under DHA will provide a more consistent and transparent process for access in care across all branches of the military. NMCSD’s mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training, and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians, and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
