SAN DIEGO (Sept. 16, 2019) Hospitalman Zachary Rector, an electroneurodiagnostic technician assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), prepares Hospitalman Apprentice Ryan Parker’s scalp for application of electrodes for an electroencephalogram (EEG) test in the neurology clinic at the hospital Sept. 16. An EEG screens the brain for neurological disorders such as seizures and epilepsy. The neurology clinic supports NMCSD's mission by preparing service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training, and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
