(September 14, 2019) Boatswains Mate Seaman Dayana Gomez from Beach Master Unit One waves the Quebec flag to direct a Lighter Amphibious Resupply Cargo (LARC) vehicle to shore for Offshore Petroleum Discharge System operations for the Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise (AECE). Approximately 3,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel participate in AECE 2019, a joint training exercise that tests expeditionary logistical capabilities in the Arctic and Southern California regions and prepares joint forces to respond to crises across the Indo-Pacific.
