SEWARD, Alaska (September 17, 2019) – Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) Richard V. Spencer observes as Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Dylan Roberts, assigned to Beach Master Unit (BMU) 1, operates a Light Amphibious Recovery Craft (LARC-V) as part of Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise (AECE) 2019. Approximately 3,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel participate in AECE 2019, a joint training exercise that tests expeditionary logistical capabilities in the Arctic region and prepares joint forces to respond to crises across the Indo-Pacific.
