CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti - U.S. Navy Capt. Timothy Cole, Camp Lemonnier’s public works officer, is shown how to operate a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) during a periodic water tank inspection on base, Sept. 18, 2019. The physical inspection assesses the interior and exterior condition of the tank, which sets a base line for subsequent inspections. Inspections are conducted every five years to record and document the deterioration of water tanks at naval installations. Camp Lemonnier is an operational installation that enables U.S., allied and partner nation forces to be where and when they are needed to ensure security in Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
