BAGHDAD: An Iraqi Soldier from the 1st Mechanized Battalion, 1st Brigade, 9th Iraqi Army Division (Mechanized) covers a window while his teammates conduct a search of the premises. The 1/1/9 IA has been conducting aggressive patrolling throughout Abu Ghraib for nearly two weeks. The introduction of th Iraqi Army into the area has resulted in the local residents providing information to the IA and coalition forces about insurgent activity in the area. (Photo by Spc.
