Command Sgt. Maj. Chris Faris, U.S. Special Operations Command, and his wife, Lisa, prepare to be interviewed on National Public Radio's "Talk of the Nation" show May 10 at the University of South Florida radio station, WUSF. The couple discussed how their marriage nearly ended due to the strains of separation and reintegration after deployments after more than 10 years of war, and how they've battled to mend their relationship. They recently began giving presentations where they share their story with Special Operations service members and their spouses as part of the Preservation of the Force and families initiative within USSOCOM.
