Command Sgt. Maj. Chris Faris, U.S. Special Operations Command, discusses how more than 10 years of war impacted his marriage to his wife, Lisa, on National Public Radio's "Talk of the Nation" show May 10. The Faris' recently began giving presentations to Special Operations servicemembers and their spouses on how their marriage nearly ended due to the strains of separation and reintegration after deployments, and how they've battled to mend their relationship. They recently began giving the presentations as part of the Preservation of the Force and Families initiative within USSOCOM.
