U.S. Marine Cpl. Manuel Almanza, a tactics advisor with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Southern Command, instructs a class of Salvadoran marine infantry students at La Base Naval, La Union, El Salvador, Sept. 26, 2019. Almanza, along with a six-man team, have been in El Salvador since May 2019 to advise and help train entry-level Salvadoran marines and sailors. The task force is conducting training and engineering projects hand-in-hand with partner nation military members in Latin America and the Caribbean during their deployment, which coincides with hurricane season.
