NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Oct. 11, 2019) Culinary Specialist 3rd Class Katherine Cruzalvarez, from Salinas, California, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) supply department, is recognized as the Warrior of the Week by Capt. John J. Cummings, Ford's commanding officer, and Command Master Chief De’Andre Beaufort during an all hands call in the ship's hangar bay. Ford is currently undergoing its post-shakedown availability at Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding.
