U.S. Marine Cpl. Edward Wisniewski, truck leader 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment (1/11), writes down information that is given to them by a local national, who was stopped on the roadside of Route Lyman during a security patrol conducted in the area of operation designated Topeka in Iraq, July 26. The unit is deployed with Multi-National Forces-West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi security forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
