Gen. (retired) Richard Cody, 31st Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, receives the inaugural Defender of Liberty Award on Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, Oct. 18, 2019. The award is presented by the 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives Command to recognize individuals for exemplary service in support of the command.
