NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Oct. 17, 2019) Chief Aviation Machinist’s Mate Carlos Edwards, from New York, center, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) aircraft intermediate maintenance department, is presented a gift from the Chiefs Mess by Senior Chief Aviation Electronics Technician David Brooks and Command Master Chief De'Andre Beaufort after being piped ashore. Ford is currently undergoing its post-shakedown availability at Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding.
