U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. David Furness, commanding general of 2nd Marine Division (2d MARDIV), shifts gears in a train at Marine Corps Logistics Base, Barstow, California, Oct. 24, 2019. Furness visited Barstow to discuss courses of action to retrograde 2d MARDIV equipment back to Camp Lejeune. 2d MARDIV is preparing to conduct MAGTF Warfighting Exercise (MWX) 1-20, which is set to be the division’s largest exercise in decades.
