An F/A-18C Hornet assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 113 is one of the last fixed-wing aircraft to launch as pilots and aircraft assigned to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17 depart the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) and return to their home bases after nearly six months embarked.
