Austin Latuszek, an operating room specialist assigned to the 175th Surgical Detachment, prepares the operating room environment for surgery on a simulated patient in the field hospital at Sierra Army Depot, California, during a United States Forces Command Medical Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise, Oct. 29, 2019. Latuszek was also responsible for the sterilization process, which includes inspecting, cleaning, assembling, warping and sterilizing equipment.
