U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Garrett James, an airborne and delivery specialist with Headquarters and Support Company, 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division (2d MARDIV), prepares for night high-altitude high-opening jump training at Camp Wilson, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, Oct. 24, 2019. The purpose of this training is for reconnaissance Marines to exercise their ability to adjust their approach and insert via air to their location when ground routes are inaccessible. Second Reconnaissance Battalion will be participating in the execution of MAGTF Warfighting Exercise (MWX) 1-20. MWX is set to be the largest exercise conducted by the 2d MARDIV in several decades.
