The sun rises as the Coast Guard Cutters Margaret Norvell (WPC-1105) and Kathleen Moore (WPC-1109) crews provide force protection and enforce a 500-yard security zone around the U.S. Navy hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20), Nov. 5, 2019 as the hospital ship crew provides medical assistance in Haiti, demonstrating the United States’ enduring promise and commitment to the region. The USNS Comfort 5-month multinational, multi-service and public-private medical assistance mission has treated 64,151 patients in Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica, Panamá, Colombia, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, Dominican Republic and Jamaica.
