Sgt. Alexander Wensink, 776 Support Maintenance Company, Tennessee National Guard, reads aloud a unit identification code on a M119 Howitzer during an accountability check before the weapon was added to Army Prepositioned Stocks-5, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Aug. 26. Wensink is deployed with the 401st Army Field Support Battalion-Kuwait, which is responsible for maintaining #APS5, one of the largest stocks of modern military ground equipment in the world. A single M119 Howitzer system has more than 60 unit identification codes. Soldiers locate and log these codes to track the lifecycle of each part.
