IMPERIAL BEACH, CALIF. (Nov. 9, 2019) A bronze statue depicting retired Navy SEAL Trevor Maroshek’s canine-partner “Chopper” is unveiled in Veterans Park. The statue is in recognition of the service of military dogs and their handlers. “Chopper” is credited with saving American forces from improvised explosive devices (IEDs) while deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan with Maroshek.
