(Nov. 9, 2019) Retired Navy SEAL Trevor Maroshek, right, speaks at the unveiling ceremony for statue recognizing the service of military dogs and their handlers in Veterans Park. The statue depicts Maroshek’s former canine-partner “Chopper”, a German shepherd who is credited with saving American forces from improvised explosive devices (IEDs) while deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.
