191106-N-PP452-1002 SANTA RITA, Guam (Nov. 6, 2019) Equipment Operator 1st Class David Earley, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Guam, explains operations at the Asphalt Batch Plant on Naval Base Guam to Cmdr. Ryan Carey, NMCB-5’s commanding officer, during a tour of the Asphalt Batch Plant the U.S. Navy Seabees are constructing in order to support initiatives of the Naval Construction Force throughout Guam, increasing military readiness and capability. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
