191106-N-PP451-1004 SANTA RITA, Guam (Nov. 6, 2019) Equipment Operator 1st Class David Earley, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Guam, gives Cmdr. Ryan Carey, NMCB-5’s commanding officer, a tour of the Asphalt Batch Plant the U.S. Navy Seabees are constructing in order to support initiatives of the Naval Construction Force throughout Guam, increasing military readiness and capability. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
