Maj. Gen. Fred Maiocco, commanding general, 76th Operational Response Command, passes the brigade unit colors to Col. Yvette Rose, commander, 455th Chemical Battalion, 76th ORC, during a unit reactivation ceremony at Sloan, Nevada, Nov. 16. Comprised of nearly 2000 Army Reserve Soldiers, three battalions, 12 companies and two Army Reserve Elements, the 455th is the only chemical brigade in history to deploy to a combat theater of operations, and this is the 5th time in its proud history the unit has been activated since World War II.
