The live-fire demonstration was the final event for a range dedication ceremony for Staff Sgt. Stevon Booker and his Family. The Multipurpose Range Complex was renamed the Staff Sgt. Stevon Booker Range Complex. Booker was killed in action in 2003 during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He played a key role in the invasion of downtown Baghdad in what is now known the Thunder Run.
