The Rogers High School Choir performs during a ceremony honoring Medal of Honor recipient Staff Sgt. (Ret.) Ronald J. Shurer, at Rogers High School in Puyallup, Wash. Dec. 6, 2019. Shurer is a Medal of Honor recipient and 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) Soldier who grew up in the Puyallup area. The ceremony was held inside the school’s performing arts center. Events included a presentation by the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps and speeches by the Student Body President, Megan Gratzer and State Senator Hans Zeiger.
