U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Ryan McHone, 56th Security Forces Squadron military working dog handler, participates in K-9 bite training with MWD Enzo during a demonstration, Dec. 10, 2019, at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. The demo showcased several 56th SFS MWDs as they maneuvered through an obstacle course, performed bite training and responded to obedience commands. MWD’s and their handlers are deployable worldwide helping safeguard military bases and activities; the dog’s acute sense of smell enables it to detect minute traces of explosives or drugs and alert the handlers of their presence.
