Jay R. Perkins, an elementary school teacher from Cannelbury, Ind., was the first runner to cross the finish line at the annual Rambo Run at Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center June 8. The five-mile run helped raise money for post's Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers program, a program designed to improve the quality of life of soldiers aboard the post, as well as giving soldiers opportunities to get involved in the surrounding communities.
