The event was held in conjunction with the 68th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Normandy, France, June 6, 1944. The theme of the ceremony was Saluting World War II Veterans on the 68th anniversary of D-Day. Twilight Tattoo is an hourlong military pageant featuring Soldiers from the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and The U.S. Army Band Pershing's Own.
