Two World War II veterans, Dr. Earnest F. Gloyna and Walter W. Heline, reminisce about how they both participated in the D-Day invasion during a reception in their honor, in advance of a Twilight Tattoo ceremony, June 6, 2012 at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Va. The event was held in conjunction with the 68th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Normandy, France, June 6, 1944. The theme of the ceremony was Saluting World War II Veterans on the 68th anniversary of D-Day. Twilight Tattoo is an hourlong military pageant featuring soldiers from the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and The U.S. Army Band Pershing's Own.
