This iteration of LSTX trained 3rd Marine Logistics Group’s primary staff, its first-ever major subordinate command staff. Training exercises like LSTX assess and refine staff members’ planning processes and increase their ability to fight and win at a moment’s notice. Morales, a native of Guayama, Puerto Rico, is the assistant chief of staff G-4, 3rd MLG. Steele, a native of Orviston, Pennsylvania, is a planner, G-3, 3rd MLG.
