Two hardened safety booths are shown after installation at the Interstate 10 highway checkpoint operated by the Sierra Blanca Border Patrol Station in Dec. 2019. One booth is elevated to put the Border Patrol Agents at the cab level of large trucks moving through the checkpoint. The checkpoint had two hardened booths installed to increase the safety and comfort of Border Patrol Agents. Additionally, bollards were installed to stop vehicles which depart the traffic lanes and the pavement was re-striped to ensure better visibility for drivers.
