The HIANG team had just completed flyover above the Plaza of Heroes at the U.S. Air Force Academy to honor the contributions of U.S. Air Force graduates who served as KC-135 Stratotanker crew members in the Vietnam War. 60-0329 was the aircraft involved during the 1967 Mackay Trophy mission in which the first-ever tri-plane aerial refueling was conducted.
