    191219-N-XK887-0818 DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (Dec. 19, 2019) Steelworker 2nd Class Elizabeth Auten, from Lumberton, North Carolina, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Diego Garcia, smooths out high spots and fills in low spots with a magnesium float during a concrete placement for a tension fabric structure requested by the U.S. Air Force. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
