191218-N-PP451-1003 SANTA RITA, Guam (Dec. 18, 2019) Equipment Operator Constructionman Scott Quichocho, from Marysville, Washington, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Guam, installs a prefabricated asphalt cement transfer pipe for the Asphalt Batch Plant, which will be used to transfer hot asphalt cement from the barrel-melter unit to the storage tank. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
