SEA OF JAPAN (Jan. 5, 2020) Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class Franklin Jones, from Oneida, Tenn., fires a shot line from the aft missile deck of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Milius (DDG 69) to the Henry J. Kaiser-class underway replenishment oiler USNS John Ericsson (T-AO 194) as the ships conduct a replenishment-at-sea. Milius is underway conducting operations in the Indo-Pacific region while assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
