Members of the New York Air National Guard's 109th Airlift Wing's Logistics Readiness Squadron begin the process of building new crates custom-designed to hold the 25-foot long skis the wing's LC-130s are equipped with at Stratton Air National Guard Base in Scotia, N.Y. in November 2019. The 109th Airlift Wing's Logistical Readiness Squadron designed the new crates to carry the 25-foot long skis that the wing's LC-130s use to land on snow and ice in the Arctic, Antarctic and Greenland, to replace older versions that were no longer serviceable.
