200108-N-XK887-0149 DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (Jan. 8, 2020) Construction Electrician 2nd Class Adrian Solanacastillo, from Havana, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Diego Garcia, scabs together two pieces of concrete formwork. U.S. Navy Seabees deployed NMCB-5’s Detail Diego Garcia are constructing an ammunition pad extension for Naval Support Facility Diego Garcia. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
