ATLANTIC OCEAN (Jan. 16, 2020) Sailors assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) air department direct an E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, assigned to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 20, on Ford's flight deck during flight operations. Ford is currently conducting Aircraft Compatibility Testing to further test its Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch Systems (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG).
