NORFOLK, Va. (Dec. 13, 2019) - Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class Antonio Castro and Boatswain's Mate Seaman JaKorrian McConico, assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), signal a landing craft, air cushion (LCAC), assigned to the Amphibious Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 4, enters the well deck, Dec. 13, 2019. Bataan is operating in the Atlantic Ocean in support of naval operations to maintain maritime stability and security in order to ensure access, deter aggression and defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
