YOKOSUKA, Japan – Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) Multicultural Committee hosted an observance for Martin Luther King, Jr., in the Chapel of Hope, Jan 17. “MLK’s legacy and efforts for equality rings as true today as during the motivational leader’s lifetime,” said Capt. Rich Jarrett, CFAY’s commanding officer at the beginning of the observance. For 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
