200116-N-XK887-0265 DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (Jan. 16, 2020) Steelworker Constructionman Joshua Sharp, from Knoxville, Tennessee, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Diego Garcia, uses a drill press to drill holes into metal conduit for an extension of a concrete pathway at a U.S. Navy munitions facility on the island. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
