A U.S. Coast Guard MH65D helicopter, piloted by Lt. Ian Erickson from Duluth, Minn., manned by rescue swimmer, Petty Officer 2nd Class Omar Alba from El Paso, Texas, and maintained by flight mechanic, Petty Officer 2nd Class Andrew Cummins from Brunswick, Ga., all of who are assigned to the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station-Savanna, is toured by high school students and faculty members from Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools during a leadership and connections symposium sponsored by local industry leaders in Savannah, Ga., Jan. 23, 2020. The team from USCG Air Station Savannah spoke of their experiences and the MH65D helicopter as part of the overall event designed to enhance student relationships and to aid them in gaining exposure to local military and business industry leaders.
