Kazakhstan Navy Capt. 1st Rank Zhandarbek Zhanzakov welcomes Vice Adm. Kevin Cosgriff, commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command/U.S. 5th Fleet to Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, Sept. 25. Cosgriff traveled to Kazakhstan to meet with leaders of the country's navy and Maritime Border Guard to discuss the U.S. Navy's assistance to Kazakhstan's budding maritime forces in the Caspian Sea.
